Lord of the Rings 以吉他演奏为主轴，文艺复兴时代的气息散发在全曲之中，巴哈的风味明显表现在Timo的演奏手法上。Fire Dance Suite 是首速度金属曲，描述神秘的祭典之中，火舞将燃烧的灵魂吞噬，电吉他独奏好。Guitar Concerto 是首吉他协奏曲，原作为 Aranjuez，Timo 以木吉他弹奏出感人的心灵之歌。 Northern Lights 为电吉他演奏曲，强烈的节奏如火焰般照亮北方的天空，如照示明灯般导引出一条康庄大道。Capriccio in A Minor 是首演奏小品，以小调音阶即兴的弹出随兴之想，有如帕格尼尼再世。Back to the Ice Age 诡异的曲式带我们回到史前的冰河时期，刹那之间思绪冻结在白蝁纪。Death of the Swan 改编自俄国音乐大师柴可夫斯基的名曲《天鹅湖》，优雅的天鹅随着 Timo的 十指起舞，奏出天鹅的挽歌，让人为之动容感动不已。Soldiers Prayer 描写人类的悲哀，相残只为争权夺利，杀戮游戏中何时能发现真理？Flying Samir 飞扬的音符奔放在流畅的旋律之中，时空回到巴洛克的宴飨之中。Sunwinds 以即兴的手法表现出日正当中狂风呼啸的情景，多声部吉他运用效果器重叠出和声的感觉，有如艳阳高照。Greensleeves 重新诠释古典名曲 《绿袖子》，这首英国传统民谣在尼龙吉他与电吉他的交织之下，显得格外感人动听。
Timo Tolkki 这张个人处女作专辑 Classical Variations and Themes，无论是吉他演奏上的精采表现、或是乐曲制作的完好度，可说是表现可圈可点，就像是 Yngwie Malmsteen 的个人处女作专辑 《Rising Force》，绝对是值得收藏的古典金属经典名盘。
